I joined in 2015 December. The learning experience was better than my previous encounters and the teachers are always there to provide support to help me achieve my targets.
I improved from B to A in primary school and scored A1 consistently in secondary school. I am proud to say that I scored A1 for E.Math and A2 for A.Math in my O-Levels.
I joined CalibreMath in November 2016, when I was in Sec 1. I had a lot of fun in CalibreMath and it was a great learning experience.
After joining the classes here, I started taking an interest in Math. I scored C for Math in PSLE, but started improving a lot in secondary school, scoring As for exams.
With the weekly practice I had with CalibreMath, I felt that I was always ready. I did not need to spend too much time revising for Math and could spend more time on other subjects.
I achieved an A2 for E.Math in my O-Levels. I am very thankful towards Teacher Charles and Teacher Janelle.
I started attending Math tuition in CalibreMath since Sec 2, I joined Teacher Janelle’s Additional Mathematics class in Sec 3 and 4. Each session was very interesting and helpful at the same time as we learnt about different Math formulas and skills. Teacher Janelle is very nice, cool and fun to interact with, often joking with us, making lessons more benefitted me in solving math problems. Their tactics and methods are simple yet good, easily allowing me to remember the Math formulas. I always had difficulty espanding all forms of algebraic expressions, however with the techniques and strategies that she taught me, solving algebra never seemed easier. My grades went from borderline passing to having A1 every test. CalibreMath really helped me develop the proper techniques needed to solve math problems, further strengthening my foundation for Math. I scored A1 for Additional Math in my O levels and will be joining River Valley High School.
I joined CalibreMath around June 2015. The teaching methods Teacher Janelle and Teacher Charles used were very effective. It helped to pull my grades up from a fail (P5) in 2015 to A1s in both E and A maths in 2020 (O Levels).
I joined CalibreMath when I was in Sec 1.
I have always encountered difficulties learning Math and caused me to develop a fear of doing Math questions over time. Mr. Charles helped me to overcome my challenges through patient and interactive methods. Mr. Charles is a friendly and approachable teacher which made me feel comfortable expressing any doubts that I have for Math.
I used to find it difficult to understand the question at hand, but now I can understand the questions better and use a suitable method to solve it. I coped better in school and can finally keep up with my classmates. I also felt less stressed when exams were approaching. Thank you Teacher Charles!
I joined CalibreMath in 2013 since primary school until I was in Secondary Four. Teacher Charles taught me how to break down complicated math questions into simpler parts and the steps to solve them strategically.
The learning environment was conducive and I felt comfortable voicing my doubts. We could also ask math problems after class through WhatsApp which helped me to clarify doubts on school work too. This allowed learning to continue on top of the weekly tuition classes and helped me improve on the specific topics I am weak at.
The lessons broadened my understanding of Elementary math and also helped me to be ahead of my classmates in school. The skills taught were easy to apply during exams.
With the help of CalibreMath, I was able to improve my Emath grade. This would not have been possible without the continuous guidance and support rendered by Teacher Charles.
I first joined in Primary 3. My Math results in Primary School improved by 2 grades, from C to A. Ever since I joined CalibreMath Learning Centre, my Math results have never fall below A1 range before. The teachers put in effort to teach and create interesting strategies to make us understand the solutions easily. We can always drop a text and ask them any questions we have from school or when we are in doubt.
Hence, I would say that CalibreMath Learning Centre is a beneficial learning centre which makes learning fun and interesting!
CalibreMath is an amazing place if you wish to improve your Math grades! They teach from Primary 1 all the way up to Secondary 4 and higher!
I have been in CalibreMath since Primary 3 and from my personal experience, I saw an improvement in my grades after paying more attention to the subject and constantly asking questions that I had queries on. The teachers explained it well and guided me through the questions with such unique skills and interesting ways that changed my entire mindset thinking about Math!
I highly recommend this tuition centre for Math tuition as they singlehandedly teach you everything you need in advance!
I first joined this tuition centre in Primary 3 and have been with this tuition till today. The primary school strategies taught in class have helped me to get consistently good results for math scoring >90. In secondary school, I have been improving consistently from Bs to As and in sec3, I got A1s for both E Math and A Math.
This learning centre has made me love Emath and Amath more than I did before. This is due to the great support and teaching skills of both teachers. Not to mention, both the teachers (Teacher Charles and Teacher Janelle) are very friendly and warm so you will be comfortable while learning. Hence, I recommend this tuition centre to anyone who is looking to get better at math.
The homework assistance group (HAG) on Sunday is extremely helpful! Teacher Janelle offers a lot of helpful insights without giving the answer to the question straight, but rather guiding the student through it, all from the thought process required and precautions we should take when doing such questions. Overall she is very good to get along with and will make any question, regardless of topic or level, easy to understand with different perspectives. Would definitely recommend it if any student is struggling with their end-of-year revision or even just schoolwork!
I really appreciate the Homework Assist Group which truly helped me a lot! Despite only attending one session up till now, that one session was very productive. I managed to clear my doubts regarding the math questions that I had and the teacher was very patient with me as well! She was a really nice teacher who explained slowly and clearly, enabling me to understand the problem. In the future or when I have the time, I will definitely attend HAG class!!!
I attended the HAG class and felt that it was helpful. I was able to clear my doubts and because there would be someone who is able to help me when I face problems doing the questions it makes it easier for me to complete my homework and extra practices.
I attended the HAG class and it was really helpful as I got to clear my doubts on both Emath and Amath topics. The teacher was patient and clear in explaining. At the end of the session, I managed to solve the difficult questions in my homework.
I joined CalibreMath in 2014 when I was in P4. Through the different sessions, I was more interested in improving my Math grade as the teacher was clear in her explanations with straightforward methods to solve each question. The different methods taught enabled me to identify the question types as soon as I read the question. Fast forward to secondary school, I found Math one of my strongest subjects as I no longer struggle with concepts and am also exposed to a vast variety of questions. The methods taught allowed me to complete tasks quickly during lesson time in school since it was faster than the majority of the methods taught in school. During Primary School, my average Math grade was a C but in Secondary School, an A1 in Amath was something very achievable. For O levels, my raw score was 13 and nett score was 9. I am currently studying in JPJC.
I joined CalibreMath in 2020 and it helps me to better understand certain topics that I am weak in. Through CalibreMath, I have learned many different strategies to answer different questions. The teaching method has benefited me tremendously as it allows me to use easier and shorter ways of answering questions. As such, it allows me to have better time management during exams and the methods enable me to solve more challenging problems. The teachers are always keen to help if I encounter any queries. Furthermore, the teachers are also very experienced! I have improved from a B3 grade during Sec 3, eventually to an A1 grade for O levels.
Great thanks to Calibre Math!
I first joined Calibre Math in 2019, nearing the December holiday when I am going to be Secondary 3. My learning experience with Mr Charles and Ms Janelle has been a very pleasant one.
Ms Janelle is precise and dedicated in her teaching and is willing to spend extra time after lessons to clarify my doubts. Her notes are detailed and her way of teaching makes A Math easier to understand. I remember that when she is teaching our group about Partial Fractions, she used ‘the 4 sisters’ method to let me understand the different types of Partial Fractions and how to solve them. Every chapter of A Math is broken down into several smaller parts to help me deepen my understanding of the concepts.
Mr Charles is also a great teacher. He is always chill and patient. I remember him going through a question several times till I understand how to solve the question. He finds alternative ways to explain a question so that I can have a deeper understanding of how one topic is linked to the other. The worksheets he gave me included challenging questions that involved the use of knowledge from other E Math chapters.
Thanks to them for being my teachers for close to 2 years, I managed to obtain A1 for both A Math and E Math. My nett score was 7 for O levels and I managed to get into NJC.
I joined Calibremath in 2015.
Personally, I found the classroom environment very conducive and interactive. I was also encouraged to clarify any doubts I had which were really useful for me. The lessons were clear and well taught. I learnt many shortcut methods to derive the answers that the teachers in school did not teach me and they really helped me solve the questions faster. The teacher was very patient and was very good at teaching as the difficult topics that I did not understand in school were made easy to understand in her lessons. Previously, I did not like Additional Math and would often score B4 in school. But after attending the lessons, I had more interest in it and it became one of my favourite subjects.
The lessons were fun and enriching. The worksheets provided included several tough questions which gave me the exposure needed. I could handle the challenging questions that I see for the first time in O levels. For my O levels, I achieved an A1 grade and I used it as one of my L1R5 to get into Anglo-Chinese Junior College. I am very grateful to the teacher!
I struggled with Math since young and always got Bs or Cs for it. When I was in Primary 3, I had Teacher Janelle as my tuition teacher. She taught me all her strategies and different methods to use when I encounter challenging math problems. My math took a big leap since then and I improved from a B to an A star. She has taught me for 7 years and my math has always been an A. She was very thorough during her lessons and made sure that we practice different types of questions that could come out in an exam and also put in challenging questions to stimulate our thinking and make sure that we really understand the topic.
O level result L1R5:10 L1R4:8 (RAW) A math & E math: A1
My girl been with CalibreMath for 2.5 years and for past years, it has always been face-to-face lessons. With the occurrence of covid-19, as a parent, I can see that Teachers from CalibreMath did not want to short change their student’s learning and they persevere to do online teaching, which enables my girl to continue learning math from home.
Thank you Mr. Charles for guiding my girl and help her to obtain A1 in her end-of-year exam.
Math has been Coleman’s weakest subject, and became my biggest worry as PSLE was approaching.
For the past 1 year, Ms. Janelle went on an extra mile, taking the pain to coach her students (not only Coleman) for an extra hour after class just to ensure that the kids fully understood the concepts taught.
Being an observant teacher, Ms. Janelle was confident that Coleman was ready to attend the PSLE Advanced Learners class, despite the fact that he only scored Grade C in his P6-SA1. Thankfully, after attending her weekly lessons and the workshop, Coleman scored an A in his PSLE.
Thank you for your selfless sacrifices, I appreciate your hard work. Coleman no longer regard Math as his most-disliked subject, for he had met a great and caring tutor like you.

Coleman’s Mummy
My twins attended her lessons since Primary Three. She made sure my kids handed in their homework on time. She even went the extra mile to stay back with them to make sure they understood their Math corrections before dismissing them. Her genuine care for the kids really touched me.
This year, my twins sat for their PSLE. My boy, Justin achieved an A* and my girl, Jolie achieved an A.
We are truly grateful and appreciate her efforts in teaching my twins and achieving their goals. Once again, thank you Teacher Janelle.
Regards,
Mrs. Kong
Dear Teacher Janelle,
I would like to thank you for your time and patience in guiding my child, Jubin, P6, in his Mathematics.
Your method of teaching has proven to be effective and boosted Jubin’s confidence in Mathematics. After attending your Math class, he has greatly improvised his learning and answering techniques and started achieving A* in his examinations including PSLE. Jubin is motivated to work harder in his studies.
I am grateful for your hard work and would recommend any parent or student to you as I feel that you are an experienced teacher in this field.
Yours Sincerely,
Parent of Jubin
